Color vision

About 1 in 12 men (and 1 in 200 women) has a color-vision deficiency. Our status palette runs success → watch → action → overdue right along the red-green confusion line — so we offer opt-in color-vision modes that swap those tokens for a more distinguishable set, while the default palette stays exactly as-is.

Why it matters — simulation

The same swatches as seen by each deficiency. The default risk colors collapse toward each other under red-green CVD; the color-safe set stays distinct. Order: Current · Watch · Action · Overdue · Info · AI.

On real components

The mode flows through everything that reads a status token — badges, the risk matrix, the Impact card. Toggle a mode and compare.

Color is never the only signal. Six fully-distinct hues aren't achievable under severe CVD — so these modes improve the most important distinction (the risk scale), and the rest is carried by the glyph-plus-word coding documented in Accessibility. Still exploratory: the hexes here are a strong starting point to tune.
